my friend gave me the most beautiful message last night: "be safe tomorrow take good care of that heart it's a good one."
I am writing both messages down on a piece of paper to carry them around with me in my pocket today. When my world gets turned upside down, I can lace the comforting phrases between my fingers in hopes that it will keep the nightmares at bay. With luck, I will posses a crumpled talisman, rather than a broken heart.

tee. you could say I am a poet...phrases just sort of come and go sometimes, and I jot them down, and work them until they make sense. No expert, but I'm told I've got some talent. (though re-reading some earlier teenage angst poems just makes me wince. but who hasn't written those? XD)
